India imports hold strong
As Australian brands prepare to jet off to the India International Garment Fair, we look at trade between the two markets.
The fair, created in association with four major garment groups twice a year, has a number of grants and incentives to attract foreign buyers into the region.
Camilla, Whistles and 17 Sundays are among a legion of Australian delegates confirmed for the next instalment, running from July 18 to 20.
According to UN Comtrade figures, imports from the region grew 18% over 2015/14.

While brands such as H&M and Zara manufacture in India, participants of the fair are largely micro, small and medium manufacturers.
The next edition is scheduled to be held at Hall Nos. 7D, 8 to 12A, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
