Australian fashion retailer Incu will deliver orders to CBD shoppers in under two hours, following a partnership deal with Uber Direct.
The deal between Incu and Uber Direct will allow residents in Sydney and Melbourne to shop full-priced items from Incu Sydney Galeries, Melbourne CBD and Chadstone stores.
Uber Direct aims to deliver items locally in under two hours and has offered Incu shoppers a $0 delivery fee for the first two weeks of the partnership before it reverts to a flat fee of $20.
“We've found that shopping isn't restricted to 9-5, Monday to Friday,” Incu CEO Doug Low said. “We want to make sure that we are exceeding expectations as our products are an emotional purchase which should carry all the way to delivery.
“Our biggest shopping days in-store are always on the weekend, but we feel like part of this is due to having that instant gratification and we're hoping that by partnering with Uber we can fit around consumers' lifestyles, while still giving them that feel-good moment over the weekend.”
General manager of Uber Direct in ANZ Ben Goodger said as online shopping grows, retailers need to improve delivery options for consumers.
"We’re pleased to be partnering with Incu and providing them with the technology needed to offer their customers faster-than-ever-before delivery."
