South Australia's Burnside Village Shopping Centre has strengthened its fashion retail portfolio, welcoming brands Hugo Boss and Polo Ralph Lauren to its tenancy list.

The centre is also set to welcome a new Tony Bianco store before Christmas, while a new Seed Heritage flagship store opened in September.

Burnside Village also contains 100 speciality shops and South Australia's only Zara store.

Colliers head of retail leasing in South Australia Ben Laycock said that the centre is thrilled to be welcoming Hugo Boss and other high-profile retailers to its portfolio.

"Having closed its city store in January 2019, Hugo Boss is thrilled to bring its latest fit out and its full men’s and ladies’ suit and fashion range to Burnside Village.

"The quality of the centre and the calibre of co-tenants at Burnside Village made Brandbank’s decision to expand their Seed Heritage brand and establish a flagship store at Burnside an easy one.

"Meanwhile, Scanlan Theodore, one of Burnside Village’s top performing fashion stores, has also shown confidence in the centre by extending their current lease.

"A new lease to Lorna Jane signals the strength of the ladies active leisurewear category, joining the highly successful Lululemon store at the centre," he said.

The centre is also set to expand into an adjacent, development-ready site of around 10,000m2 once economic certainty returns.

"Burnside Village has recovered strongly since June with total centre traffic close to prior year levels and sales higher than 2019," Cohen Group CEO John Blunt added.

"This reflects our strong tenancy mix, premium presentation... and convenient suburban location," he said.

Hugo Boss is set to open its new store in early 2021, while Polo Ralph Lauren will open before Christmas this year.
