The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) has launched the inaugural MAAS Centre for Fashion Ball.
The event was a celebration of the Australian fashion industry presented in partnership with Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter, co-hosted by MAAS CEO Dolla Merrillees and co-chairs of the Australian Fashion Chamber Edwina McCann and Kellie Hush.
The MAAS Ball fundraised for the Australian Fashion Fund, a Centre for Fashion initiative that secures acquisitions of Australian fashion to strengthen the museum’s collection for future generations.
Guests were able to view an exclusive exhibition of iconic fashion pieces from MAAS archives alongside contemporary red carpet looks.
Artworks by Jonathan Zawada were also displayed throughout the event.
