Adventure apparel retailer Kathmandu has posted a record 33% rise in full-year profit to NZ$50.53 million.
In Australia alone, sales grew by 9.6% with overall sales surging 11.7% to NZ$497.4 million.
The result marks three years of solid profit growth in the brand's Australasian business.
CEO Xavier Simonet said the performance was due to a range of factors.
“Sales growth was supported by the success of our key product groups, improved promotional execution, inspiring digital content, and an enhanced in-store customer experience.
“Top line growth combined with a focus on cost control, resulted in excellent profit growth.”
Gross margin is now above the retailer's long-term target range of between 61% and 63%, sitting at 63.4% in 2018.
Online sales also now contribute 9.4% of sales for the retailer.
