The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has published the first consolidated JobKeeper report, detailing the amount of JobKeeper listed companies claimed.
The publicly released report forms part of new disclosure requirements, where all listed entities that received a JobKeeper payment must provide a notice to the market operator outlining how much they received, if and what they paid back, and how many employees the business claimed the payment for.
ASIC's report will be updated at the beginning of each month and will contain information disclosed to the market through to the end of the previous month.
The taxpayer-funded wage subsidy received some backlash from the public when it was revealed that some companies that claimed the payment turned a profit while receiving JobKeeper, but did not have to pay it back.
