Australian fashion brand Henne has just opened its first Western Australian boutique in Claremont, Perth.
The standalone store is located in Claremont’s key retail precinct, the Claremont Quarter.
Henne reported that this opening follows a key period of growth for Henne, which has evolved from a pureplay online brand into a multi-channel operation. The new store brings the brand’s total footprint to five, which includes three in Victoria and one in Sydney, with all located on high streets.
The brand was founded in 2019 by sisters and friends Nadia Bartel, Michelle Ring and Laura Broque.
“Western Australia has always been such an important market for Hennel, and we’ve wanted to create a physical home for the brand in Perth for some time,” Henne director Nadia Bartel said.
“We have such a strong and engaged community here, so it feels really special to finally be able to welcome them into a Henne space of their own. Claremont felt like a natural fit for us. We love the area, the customers and the mix of fashion and lifestyle brands around us.”
Designed in partnership with APDH, the Claremont boutique follows similar approaches to Henne’s other stores. According to the brand, the WA store is inspired by Edward Weston’s 1939 photograph Charis in the Pool, utilising materials such as steel, glass, leather and technical fabrics. The floor is covered with epoxy gloss grey, with the ceiling in high-gloss black.
The store also has Barrisol lighting and works from Barcelona-based designer Max Milá Serra.
To mark the arrival of Henne in Western Australia, the brand hosted an opening day on Saturday, September 19, offering Italian treats and a gift with purchase of the brand’s Valentina Jeans to the first 100 customers.
Henne also introduced new, limited-edition colourways of top styles such as the Maiken Tank in Aqua, Carr T-Shirt in Ice Blue, Zeya Polo in Charcoal and Reese Shorts in Tan, available exclusively at the Claremont boutique.
