The recent burst of warm spring weather has dramatically reduced summer clothing stocks in local Red Cross shops.
Red Cross Shops marketing manager Kate Dear has urged brands and retailers to step forward.
"We are desperate for summer stock.
"The biggest need right now is for ladies summer clothing, particularly dresses but anything light and in good condition will be greatly appreciated."
Every item purchased at a Red Cross Shop also helps support the everyday work of Red Cross.
Last year Red Cross assisted more than 56,000 people affected by disasters and served over 800,000 meals to school children who might otherwise have gone to school hungry.
Red Cross programs such as Telecross, Telechat and our Community Visitors Scheme also rely heavily on the proceeds of Red Cross shops.
