H&M has continued its worldwide garment collecting initiative with a brand new 'Bring It' campaign.
The initiative allows customers to drop off unwanted garments, regardless of brand or condition, to sites globally.
Last year, H&M Australia set up garment collection points across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
The campaign ran across a five day period, with daily pick up locations announced via social media channels.
The overall goal of the initiative is to collect 25,000 tonnes in volume, per year, by 2020.
As exclusively reported in Ragtrader, H&M Australia collected 7,586.7kg of unwanted garments from Australian consumers last year.
A brand new film directed by Crystal Moselle kicked off this years 'Bring It' campaign.
The film explains the processes returned clothing go through after in store collection.
Using a examples such as ripped jeans, stained or faded clothing and used linen, the campaign shows the variety of alternative uses for these fabrics.
Since its introduction, the global initiative has collected over 40,000 tonnes of clothing.
