International fast fashion retailer H&M has revealed plans to enter the Tasmanian market in 2018.
The brand stated it would be opening its first store in the state during the first half of the year.
The store will be located in Hobart's Cat and Fiddle arcade.
H&M Australian country manager Hans Andersson said Tasmania had always been a focus and now was the right time to launch the brand into the state.
“We are proud to announce our expansion into Tasmania with our new store launching at the Cat and Fiddle Arcade in Hobart this year.
“We have always seen Tasmania as an important market and we are looking forward to finally introducing the H&M brand to Hobart and showing our customers the unique retail experience our brand has to offer.”
More details regarding the store will be released prior to the opening date.
