H&M Australia is getting personal.

H&M, which is set to land on Australian soil in 2014, has confirmed it will release a specially designed Australian launch collection to mark its debut next year.

The 'Australia Exclusive' range, will be available exclusively at the much-anticipated first H&M store at the iconic Melbourne’s GPO in 2014 and will complete its standing as a full concept store.

Taking inspiration from the latest global trends, H&M said the fashion capsule collection was developed “with the Australian lifestyle in mind” and features limited pieces of apparel and accessories for both men and women, which will only be available in the new flagship store.

H&M Australia country manager Hans Andersson said the targeted collection in part of a tailored brand strategy to satisfy its new market.

“We are excited our first Australian store will be at such a landmark location as the GPO. We are looking forward to opening our doors to the Australian customers and offering them the H&M shopping experience with fashion and quality at the best price. It will be a unique retail experience and we hope they will enjoy our full concept assortment.” he said.

The first H&M Australia store at the Melbourne GPO will be a full concept flagship store showcasing apparel, underwear and accessories for men, women, kids and baby as well as the Home concept. The HM Home concept range includes towels, bedding, curtains and other home textiles, as well as home décor items in glass, metal and wood.

As previously reported on ragtrader.com.au, the store is set to span approximately 5,000 square metres, and will be one of H&M’s largest stores globally.
