H&M has ended speculation on the location of its first Australian store, announcing it will open in Melbourne during the first half of 2014.
The Swedish fast fashion giant will open a 5000 square metre site over three floors at Melbourne's GPO.
H&M Australia country manager Hans Andersson said this will be one of the brand's largest stores globally.
“We are very excited to announce that we will be opening the first H&M store in Melbourne, Australia during 2014. We look forward to bringing fashion and quality at the best price to the Australian customers."
Spanish fashion chain Zara is reportedly planning to open its seventh Australian store in Sydney's Westfield Chatswood.
