H&M brand Cos has announced a collaboration with Australian design duo Daniel To and Emma Aiston.

The Adelaide-based industrial designers will create a three-part installation inspired by the classic Cos white shirt.

One of the three parts will be featured in the Cos Sydney (Martin Place and Westfield Bondi Junction) and Melbourne (the Strand stores) stores.

Often inspired by everyday life, their installation “Hanging Out” looks at how objects and furniture are used in context of the white shirt.

"In the Australian winter often our house is strewn with miscellaneous objects that we use to hang clothing out to dry.

"It is one of the only times we have our shirts on display at home rather than in a wardrobe.

"This installation is our version of this everyday scene."

Cos often partners with well-known and up-and-coming artists, architects, galleries and art fairs from around the world.

Cos creative director Karin Gustafsson said this collaboration is no exception.

"We welcomed the chance to collaborate with Daniel and Emma and are happy and honoured to be supporting local Australian designers, who we believe to be like minded with shared values.

"We hope that our customers enjoy these installations."

H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB comprises six independent brands: H&M, COS, Monki, Weekday, Cheap Monday and & Other Stories.
