Clothing retailer Hallenstein Glasson Holdings has 'reluctantly' accepted the resignation of a non-executive director.
After 11 years at the New Zealand group, which owns women's fashion stores Glassons and Storm and menswear chain Hallensteins, Howard Bretherton will today leave to focus on other business ventures.
Chairman of directors Warren Bell said Bretherton's 'deep understanding' and experience in retail has been highly valued.
“Howard has advised us that other business ventures were increasingly taking up more time and it is with reluctance that we accept his resignation,” Bell said. “The board will be seeking a replacement for Howard in due course, but for the moment we are under no time constraint to do so.”
