An international retailer has upscaled its Australian operations on the back of bumper trade.
Dolce&Gabbana has opened its first mono-brand flagship store in Australia.
The 300 square metre site is located on Collins Street in Melbourne.
The flagship will carry men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, as well an array of leather goods from the classic and seasonal collections.
It will also stock shoes, costume jewellery, sunglasses and fragrances.
The two-storey boutique is housed within a heritage red-brick gothic style Mayfair Building (formerly called the Auditorium).
The original exterior has been maintained as the store’s façade, while the interior reflects the global store design.
This includes signature Basaltina volcanic stone tiles and grand baroque Murano chandeliers.
The women’s space is features red silk damask panels and burgundy velvet poufs.
Meanwhile, the men's area comprises warm walnut wood fixtures and smoky black mirrors.
The two sections are connected by a walkway on the first level.
The ground floor is dedicated to the newest arrival of the ready-to-wear collections, with a display of shoes, bags, small leather goods and other accessories.
The first floor houses women’s eveningwear, as well as smart casual collections.
The floor also features traditional Italian tailoring in contemporary silhouettes for both men and women.
