A multinational giant has this week launched a dedicated e-tail portal for the Australian market.
adidas.com.au offers more than 700 products across the Adidas Sport Performance and Adidas Originals Collections.
This will expand to approximately 2000 products by the end of 2013 as the brand introduces eyewear, Adidas Neo and designer collaborations.
Adidas Australia and New Zealand eCommerce director David Huggett said the launch marked a major change for the domestic business.
Adidas has been available in the market for over 40 years, with the first store opening in 1998 and 18 sites currently in operation.
"The launch of our new site is a natural evolution for the brand as we become a multi-channel business, offering an additional sales channel for our customers,” Huggett said.
“We know customers are already visiting our site to research online before they buy and engage with our brand content, so it’s great to offer the option to do it all online."
The site will also feature personalised product recommendations, product review functionality and option to create a wishlist.
adidas.com.au offers Australia-wide delivery within three to eight working days, with free delivery for orders over $150, free returns and express options for $12.50.
