German jewellery house Niessing has refurbished its Sydney flagship located on the ground of the Strand Arcade near Pitt Street Mall.
The new store introduces a ‘retail museum’ concept, anchored by the Niessing Heritage Wall, and featuring the jeweller’s Spannring collection of wedding rings, all framed by expansive window displays.
Niessing was established in Germany in 1873 and has since expanded globally. The jeweller sells rings, necklaces, bracelets and brooches, with prices ranging between four and five figures.
The brand has 10 stores across Germany, with further stores in Switzerland, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore.
Niessing CEO Sandro Erl said that the Sydney boutique’s redesign blends tradition and modernity.
“The Strand Arcade is the perfect home for our Australian flagship,” Erl said. “The refurbishment honours the building’s historic charm while introducing a refined, modern interior that reflects Niessing’s design ethos—creating a truly unique destination.”
Alongside the Spannring collection, the Sydney store will also include its Topia Vision Line – covering pendants, earrings and bangles – as well as the Setario Edition in new colourways.
“The Strand Arcade is one of Sydney’s iconic retail destinations and we aim to help create memories for the clients who come and visit us there,” Erl said.
“Every person who enters our store is an individual, and we strive to help them spark emotions and tell their own stories through our jewellery.”
The Sydney store is Niessing’s only retail space in Australia.
