Australian retailer General Pants Co. has announced the launch of its second US store, located in Soho, NYC.
The Local by General Pants Co. spans 250sqm and stocks the largest range of Ksubi clothing in the northern hemisphere, while also carrying a curated collection of Australian brands.
The store's interior features raw finishes, copper trim, semi gloss black powder fixtures and spotted gum timber features.
General Pants CEO Craig King said that the success of the LA store drove the decision to open in New York, with the brand identifying Soho as a key location due to the level of expats in the area.
“After the success of our first U.S. store in LA, we were keen for more. Of course we wanted to open in New York, but with so many exciting boroughs the question was "where?"
After considerable exploration we finally found our ideal location on Greene St. Like LA, there's an abundance of expats in the area, but as we found on La Brea, our American friends and many tourists found the all-Aussie offering something fresh to get into.”
The store is located at 26 Greene Street Soho, NYC.
