Institchu has hosted an intimate industry lunch celebrating Australian Merino Wool, in partnership with The Woolmark Company.

The custom tailoring company staged the event at paddock-to-palate destination Chiswick, Woollahra. Guests were offered a tour of the Chiswick produce garden with head chef Taylor Cullen, alongside sampling a local food and wine menu.

InStitchu CEO James Wakefield said the event was designed to highlight provenance and innovation.

“It was a fantastic day celebrating Australian Merino wool and custom tailoring with Woolmark and some of our closest friends. We’re very proud to work with Australian Merino wool in our made-to-measure garments, because it is the premier fibre for suiting and smart tailoring, and we greatly admire the work Woolmark does in bringing the stories behind the Australian wool industry to life.“

Woolmark representatives also presented on projects within the Australian wool industry, from sustainability pilots at a farm level through to milling and manufacturing of final garments.

“It was fascinating to hear from Woolmark and hear how they’re leading the world in sustainable, innovative farming practices,” Institchu head of marketing Rob O’Reilly said.

Founded by Robin McGowan and James Wakefield in 2012, InStitchu offers customers the ability to design their own custom, made-to-measure suits and shirts online or at a showroom.
