G-Star putting its foot down following the collapse of its Australian trading partner.

Or at least, its shoes.

G-Star RAW has announced that it will bring its men's and women's footwear business in-house.

The brand has previously been partnered with footwear licensee, Overland Shoes Limited, but will take over responsibility of selling in June.

Design, development and global distribution of the brand's shoes will begin alongside their AW15 drop in Novemeber.

The announcement comes as a surprise following the news that Denim Enterprises, which trades as G-Star in Australia, entered voluntary administration last month.

DENIM Enterprises, the company which operates the Australian arm of G-Star Raw, has entered into voluntary administration.

The news comes the same week in which celebrated Australian designer Josh Goot suffered the same fate.

The G-Star RAW brand was founded in Amsterdam in 1989 and now has more than 6500 selling points worldwide.
