Tasmanian brand Francesca Jewellery has opened a second store in Melbourne, alongside High Street in Armadale. This adds to the brand’s other store at Melbourne Central, and its flagship in Hobart.
The new store in Armadale is located on the main shopping strip, which includes a raft of fashion brands such as Zimmermann, Bec + Bridge, Cos, Assembly, Mastani and Venroy. The strip also has several jewellers such as Sarah & Sebastian and Arms of Eve.
Francesca Jewellery was founded more than 14 years ago by sisters Hannah and Rachel Vasicek, who started selling handmade pieces at Salamanca Market in Hobart. The brand has since scaled to include 100 team members, mostly housed in its Tasmanian headquarters.
Around 20 per cent of the Francesca Jewellery collection is still handmade in its Hobart studio. The co-founders shared they have a commitment to local craftsmanship and employment.
This new bricks and mortar store is the first the founders have opened in six years following COVID and a boom in their e-commerce business.
“We couldn’t imagine a better home for our next chapter,” Rachel Vasicek said.
“High Street has a beautiful sense of community and timeless style, which perfectly mirrors our brand values. It’s a place where meaningful design belongs.”
The Armadale boutique will sell the brand’s Locket Etch and Create collections, with visitors able to personalise their jewellery on-site. Francesca Jewellery’s prices range between single digits and low triple digits.
