Australian womenswear brand Forcast has signed its inaugural official partnership with Rugby Australia.

As part of the deal, Forcast will be an official partner for Australia women's national rugby union team Wallaroos and Australian Women’s Sevens national teams, dressing the players for all media events and match-days for the upcoming 2024-2025 season.

Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh said the new partnership was another strong step for the women’s game in the country.

“We are proud to welcome Forcast to our Sevens and Wallaroos family,” Waugh said. “It’s the first time Forcast is officially partnering with national teams in any sport so it’s pleasing to see new partners coming on board to support women’s Rugby and sport.”

Launched in 1992, Forecast now operates 22 retail stores and 8 outlets across Australia, selling styles across tops, bottoms, dresses, jackets, knitwear and jumpsuits.

"We are proud to support women paving the way in professional sport, and we look forward to outfitting these incredible athletes with attire that not only reflects their strength and determination but also enables them to conquer the field with confidence on home soil and abroad," Forcast creative director Monica Lek said.

Forcast head of digital Alicia Chea said the partnership with Rugby Australia’s Teams in Gold comes at a pivotal time in women’s sports.

"As a brand deeply rooted in empowering women, this partnership aligns with our mission to help women feel confident and stylish at work, at play and in sport…wherever they may be kicking goals,” Chea said.

The Wallaroos will be competing in the upcoming Pacific Four series, starting with a match against Canada this weekend, followed by the Women’s Internationals commencing in July.

The Australian Women’s Sevens team finished in second place in the World Rugby Sevens World Series which was finalised this weekend.
