Womenswear designer Carla Zampatti, Australian Fashion Week founder Simon Lock and education pioneer Leanne Whitehouse are in the running for a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
Fashion Group International (Sydney) has revealed the finalists for its Awards for Excellence program, with a black-tie ceremony set to take place at Scuderia Graziani in East Sydney on March 18.
A total of seven awards will be presented on the evening, with categories including 'Corporate Leadership', 'Sustainable Design', 'Rising Star', 'International Achievement', 'Costume Design', 'Innovation' and 'Lifetime Achievement'.
Lock has also been announced as a finalist for the 'Innovation' category, competing with the likes of Bruck Textiles and intimate apparel giant Berlei for the top honour.
Judges for the awards include Women's Day fashion editor Jo Ferguson, Sunday Telegraph fashion journalist Elle Halliwell, designers Ray Costarella and Vivian Chan Shaw, as well as the corporate executive Mark Bilton.
Australian Women's Weekly editor-in-chief Deborah Thomas will be master of ceremonies for the evening, which kicks off at 6.30p.
