Australian boutique retailer Feathers has announced the relaunch of one of its oldest stores.
The Brighton boutique is a step in a new direction for the brand, which will be rolling out an in-store concept design throughout its NSW and Victorian locations.
The Brighton store has been in business for over 20 years, and has just re-opened following a two-week long renovation, designed by Feathers owner Margaret Porritt and her visual merchandising team.
Porritt took the opportunity to thank her entire team and highlighted the extensive amount of work that went into the new fitout.
“The renovation has been a year in the making [and] although it was a big job for myself and the team, it’s well worth-it!”
The design of the new boutique draws inspiration from when Porritt worked in London alongside Normal Hartnell, the Queens dressmaker, back in the 1950’s.
The palette of the store combines greys, and plenty of mirrors, enhancing the chosen aesthetic with black linear clothes-racks.
A combination the plush, velvet-like German carpet, and the marble accents feature throughout the store.
