A new partnership is set to take fashion graduates to the next level.

Raffles College of Design and Commerce has partnered with The Design Residency, one of Australia’s leading emerging fashion and design incubators.

On May 20, seven Raffles College Fashion Design alumni students will unveil their collections at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia.

The Design Residency partnership will allow the students to preview their designs to media and industry, and receive business mentoring in a dynamic retail / showroom environment – before, during and after Fashion Week.

The Design Residency was founded and spearheaded by fashion industry icon Lorraine Lock, and is supported by the City of Sydney Council through its short-term empty properties program.

Headquartered at 72 Oxford St, Darlinghurst, The Design Residency nurtures, mentors and provides growth opportunities for emerging Australian designers in fashion, jewellery, lighting, product and textile design.

During this period the showroom will be open to media, industry and general public alike.
