It began as a poolside fashion parade in Marcoola, with just 12 local labels and the once hip Ed Hardy.
Now Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival is set to celebrate its tenth year in business
Established in 2008, the event has grown to incorporate runway shows, an exhibition space, industry seminars and awards program.
Founder Jacinta Richmond said the event has developed each year since launch.
“The organic growth of the event, along with the strong support of designers, dedicated volunteer organisers and the media is what has gotten us to our tenth year."
"A focus on quality, national and international brands will see us into our tenth anniversary year.
"It’s a brilliant opportunity for a select few emerging talent to showcase alongside established labels.
"With applications to showcase coming in fast from the Sunshine Coast and internationally, it won’t be long until we have filled the line up for 2017."
The event will run from October 20 to 21 in Caloundra.
