Organisers of trade fair Fashion Exposed have reported a resurgence in menswear exhibitor numbers at the upcoming spring/summer show.
Traditionally a smaller precinct than womenswear and accessories, the menswear category this year will include exhibitors such as Retail Apparel Group's Tarocash and Connor labels and loyal exhibitors Back Bay, Daniel Hechter and Duchamp.
New Zealand-headquartered wholesalers Cambridge Clothing and Rembrandt will also be in residence, with labels in their respective stables including Escena and Dom Bagnato and Wayward Heir and César.
A Fashion Exposed spokesperson said the exhibitor mix represented “new ground” for the menswear category.
“This is a huge move for a precinct that was suffering just a few seasons ago,” the spokesperson said.
Also new for Fashion Exposed in Sydney will be a 'premium' accessories section and a spate of business seminars to be hosted by trend forecasting agency WGSN. Also making its debut is sister trade fair Premiere which will present boutique brands only. Labels taking part in Premiere include Arabella Ramsay, Cylk, Little Joe and T.L.Wood.
Both Fashion Exposed and Premiere will be held at the Sydney Exhibition Centre from March 6 to 8, 2011. Retailers and buyers keen to attend can register at: http://www.fashionexposed.com/
