Three global retailers are preparing to launch into the Australian market - and not through the traditional routes of Melbourne or Sydney.
The Canadian fashion retailers will debut stores in Adelaide CBD shopping centre Rundle Place, which is set to open in March 2013.
Point Zero, Joshua Perets and La Vie en Rose will enter the $385 million redeveloped site under their master licensor Retail Expansion Pty Ltd.
Point Zero is a leading ready-to-wear manufacturer of men, women and children's fashion.
Point Zero operates more than 35 boutiques across Canada as well as 920 shop-in-shops in department stores such as Dillard's, Macy's, Bay and Sears.
It has franchises in Central and South America, the Middle East and plans to open 100 sites within the next three years.
Joshua Perets is aimed at the trend-driven teen and tween markets, with 35 stores operating across Canada.
Meanwhile, La Vie en Rose is a specialty lingerie retailer targeting women 25 - 54 with over 165 boutiques across Canada.
It has expanded into the Middle East, Europe and Asia since 2004, with 50 international outlets.
Rundle Place will include a four storey retail centre, anchored by Coles and a food court on the lower level.
Department store Harris Scarfe will form part of Level 1 and all of Level 2, while approximately 70 specialty retail tenancies will also form the offer.
Fashion is set to preside on the ground floor.
Rundle Place project leasing manager Ilona Rose said more global tenants will be announced shortly.
"The centre is now 95 per cent leased and interest continues to be strong. Over the coming weeks we will be able to release more exciting international names who have decided to make Rundle Place their home."
