Several fashion and accessories labels have snapped up new retail spaces in Adelaide’s inner east this year.

The latest store openings include luxury French lingerie house Simone Pérèle and leading retailers Universal Store, OPSM and Sunglass Hut, all set to open doors this week at Burnside Village.

Since January this year, luggage brand July and Japanese retailer Uniqlo have also opened doors in the shopping centre, making it July’s first South Australian opening and Uniqlo’s third.

For Simone Pérèle, the latest store opening adds to five others already around the Adelaide metropolitan area, according to the brand’s website.

It also adds to four current stores in the region for Universal Store, with OPSM and Sunglass Hut relocating current stores to larger spaces. OPSM manages nearly 20 retail locations across Adelaide, with just over 10 for Sunglass Hut, all according to each of their websites.

Cohen Group CEO Gregg Downer, which runs Burnside Village, welcomed the new store openings.

"These retailers further enrich our already diverse offering and underscore our commitment to providing an unrivalled shopping experience for our valued customers,” Downer said.

To mark the openings, both Sunglass Hut and Simone Pérèle have launched opening offers, with Sunglass Hut offering 50 per cent off a second pair until June 15, as well as a gift with purchase to the first 100 ‘In The Loop’ members who make a $50 purchase.

Meanwhile, Simone Pérèle with offer a complimentary scrunchie with every purchase above $250, valid for the first 100 customers only. The lingerie brand will also offer 30 per cent off selected styles.

Adelaide has generated interest among fashion brands over the last year, with luxury brand Louis Vuitton opening pop-ups across the city, with Camilla revamping its store at Burnside by adding a train carriage to it.

Viktoria & Woods has also announced plans to open a new store at Burnside Village later this year, adding to a CBD boutique and a space at David Jones.
