Sunshades Eyewear has been appointed as the exclusive Australian and New Zealand eyewear distributor of French luxury goods holding company Kering and its eyewear division, Kering Eyewear.
The brands included in this new distribution deal include; Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Bottega Veneta, Boucheron, Brioni, Pomellato, McQ and Puma.
Gucci will transition over to Sunshades only after Kering has concluded its agreement with the current licensee.
Kering is a world leader in apparel and accessories and home to a number leading luxury brands.
In December, Kering announced that it would take back control of its eyewear business value chain.
Sunshades attended the official launch of Kering Eyewear in Venice at the end of June.
The collections and the newly formed division of Kering were unveiled by the Chairman and CEO of Kering, Francois-Henri Pinault and CEO of Kering Eyewear Roberto Vedovotto.
Stock to the market is being planned for a 2015 high summer release.
