A fashion shopping destination is preparing to change the way consumers shop.

The Galeries Sydney, which houses Gorman and Incu, has launched the first ever Musical Store Directory.

The exclusively developed app aims to reinvent the traditional store guide.

Using the app, customers can browse The Galeries’ retailer offering based on their musical genre of choice, or their current mood.

This input is then reflected through a re-active playlist that will only be audible to the app-user via audio spotlight technology that gives each user a totally private and personalised experience.

The app draws on an extensive playlist of tracks expertly curated by FBi Radio station’s General Manager of Music, Dan Zilber, that link each store with its musical equivalent.

Zilber praised the new technology.

"The Galeries have been really innovative by combining human curation with clever technology to deliver a playlist that compliments the user’s mood and utilises music to connect them emotionally to their experience at one of Sydney's best retail spots."

The activation has been paired with a chance to win 'The Ultimate Music Marathon'.

For every $100 or more spent in-centre, customers will go into the draw to win tickets to live shows in Sydney.

These include sold-out shows for London Grammar, The 1975, GROUPLOVE, Ben Howard and Asgeir.

The Galeries will also giveaway three-months of Spotify Premium to 100 winners.

The ‘Spotted at The Galeries’ campaign draws on customer insights which show a devotion to music culture.

This is consistent with the centre’s  proposition as a hub for fashion, art and music.
