H&M Australia has revealed exclusive figures to Ragtrader from its localised World Recycling Week initiative.

In Australia the company managed to collect 7,586.7kg of unwanted garments and textiles.

State by state NSW ranked the highest in collection.

H&M Australia sustainability manager Valentina Zarew has thanked stakeholders, retailer centres and not for profit organisations involved in the scheme.

“We are so grateful to everyone that participated in not only helping us reach our global goal of collecting 1000 tons of unwanted garments or textiles globally during World Recycling Week, but for joining us on our journey to a more sustainable fashion future by closing the loop.”
