Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr and designer Josh Goot were among the guests at the David Jones Autumn Winter 2012 Fashion Launch last night.
About 300 guests, including designers, media and celebrities such as Delta Goodrem, gathered at the 'On Seven at David Jones' space at the Sydney department store.
Returning to its roots when ‘On Seven at David Jones’ was once a restaurant, guests were treated to a preview of the new season looks in a setting that resembled a New York supper club.
International supermodel and David Jones fashion ambassador Miranda Kerr returned to the runway alongside David Jones ambassador for young women’s fashion, Samantha Harris, and David Jones guest ambassador, Montana Cox, walked for David Jones for the very first time.
Josh Goot opened the show with his directional AW range that features 'clean lines that are modern and chic and work in harmony with the uptown elegance of New York', that inspired the event.
The show featured apparel by some of Australia’s most celebrated designers such as Alannah Hill, Alex Perry, Camilla, Collette Dinnigan and Dion Lee.
Guests sipped on dry Vodka Martinis as well as Veuve Clicquot champagne and San Pellegrino sparking water - served in Waterford crystal.
Attendees enjoyed table delights such as grissini with rosemary salt and a salumi plate of san daniele prosciutto, wagyu bresaola and sopressa.
Post-show, the guests enjoyed smoked salmon blinis, avocado and lobster salad, house baked rye and pastrami and red velvet cakes.
