Earlier this week, Sunglass Hut celebrated launch of its largest Australian store to date.
The flagship Sydney store, located on 413 George Street Sydney, spans 300-square-metres and is the chain's largest store globally.
Boasting over 1,400 pairs of sunglasses the George Street Sydney outlet also houses the largest collection of sunglasses in the Sunglass Hut Asia Pacific network.
Brands showcased at the store include: Bulgari, Burberry, Dolce&Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Miu Miu, Persol, Prada, Versace and Vogue Eyewear.
In addition to these brands, the george Street location will also stock for the first time in Australia, New York fashion designer Tory Burch.
The Sydney flagship will also host specialist stylists, who have undergone intensive training in fashion trends and face shape matching by celebrated image consultants.
Sydney shoppers will also enjoy a first of its kind 'Luxury Room' and 'Sports and Lifestyle Room'. In the sports and lifestyle room, consumers will be encouraged to try on an array of performance and lifestyle sunglasses, matched by the brand's lifestyle stylists.
The launch event on November 20 welcomed an array of media and guests such as: Laura Csortan, Laura Dundovic and Sarah De Bono.
The store windows were converted into three entertainment scenes for the launch, including:
-
A female juggler in a window filled with beach balls and juggling balls and a male model handing her the balls to juggle;
-
A high fashion model in a silver sequin gown against a wind machine with a paparazzi shooting flash photos; and
-
A model walking on a treadmill with a poodle.
As a monument to the Ray-Ban brand, Sunglass Hut also created a custom made Ray-Ban lens chandelier through the centre of the store, made from hundreds of recycled aviator lenses.
Guests at the event were treated to canapes including: lobster and leek popovers, wagyu beef sliders, and banana ice-cream sundae, washed down with Mumm Champagne and Peroni Beer.
