This week saw retail giant Topshop Australia launch a tailored local project with a bang.
The 'Edited By' initiative saw the UK-based chain collaborate with Australian fashion editor Stevie Dance to create a curated collection of pieces from the new season Topshop line.
Dance flew in to Sydney from her New York City base to personally hand-pick and curate her selection of garments from the new season Topshop collection and offer an exclusive first preview at an intimate launch party on Thursday.
Guests for the launch event included Vogue Australia Senior fashion editor Christine Centenera, musicians Tim Hoey and Dan Whitford of band Cut Copy, Lover designers Susien Chong and Nic Briand, and international model Ruby Jean Wilson (who features in the latest Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs campaigns).
Bloggers from My Empirical Life, Shine By Three, Badlands, Zanita, Front Row Suit and Capture The Castle, were also present, as well as Sydney's fashion set including; Jane Jasper, Kasia Werstak and publicist Jacqueline Perrett together with partner and architect Kelvin Ho.
DJ Kristy Lee kept guests entertained while they sipped on Sapporo beer and Rekordelig ciders and ate a selection of sweet and savoury canapes.
Guests also enjoyed an exclusive first preview of Dance's edit.
The Stevie Dance 'Edited By' shop-within-a-shop will be open at the George Street, Sydney and Chapel Street, Melbourne Topshop stores from this week to Sunday April 14, 2013.
