Earlier this week, fashion industry event Fashion Palette celebrated its fifth anniversary with a star-studded affair at The Darling Pool in Sydney's Pyrmont.
The 250-strong crowd included DJ Havana Brown, Miss Universe Australia Renae Ayris, Magdalena Roze, Zoe Marshall and Airlie Walsh, as well as Lauryn Eagle, Kate Peck, Carmen Smith, Brittany Cairns and Amali Ward.
The star guests wore garments from some of the 16 designers who also showcased their creations at the Fashion Palette runway on Thursday – including Nicola Finetti, Alannah Hill, Akira Isogawa and Bettina Liano.
New participants of the event this year
also included designers Niki Teljega, Chiquita Searle, Sharnee Lamb
and Catherine Vasilas from Galanni.
Fashion Palette made its New York debut
in September last year, and has now also partnered with Delta
Airlines and The Star for its Sydney instalment.
Entertainment for the birthday bash saw
guests treated to a dazzling display of fire breathers, trumpet
players, bundles of yellow balloons and floating umbrellas in the
pool. Live mannequins also adorned the poolside area, dressed in
yellow ribbon dresses made by designer Stephanie
Cunningham.
Up-and-coming artist Carla Wehbe set the scene
with a live performance of 'Empire State of Mind' by Alicia
Keys before singing 'Happy Birthday' as Fashion Palette
founder Sonya Mefaddi cut the 30-inch ‘Big Apple’ cake.
Attendees also enjoyed an assortment of canapés and twisted frozen yoghurt as well as beverages from Two Italian Boys wine, Vodka O, Vodka Cuisers, 28 Black Energy drinks, iced coffee from Illy Issimo, Societe Perrier water, Appletiser and Hahn Super Dry.
