Earlier this week, department store David Jones celebrated its 175 year anniversary with a star-studded runway show for autumn/winter.
The runway show, on February 6, was held at the David Jones’ flagship Elizabeth Street store, with its iconic 'On Seven' space playing host to a variety of high-profile guests including David Jones' ambassadors Megan Gale, Gai Waterhouse and Emma Freedman.
Isabelle Cornish and Gracie Otto also attended, along with Jesinta Campbell, Rachael Finch, Australian of the Year Ita Buttrose, Geoff Huegill, Terry Biviano and Anthony Minichiello.
The show, for autumn/winter 2013, was headlined by model and David Jones ambassador Miranda Kerr who opened the event wearing a creation by Ellery.
Kerr was joined on stage by fellow David Jones ambassador Samantha Harris, guest model Jessica Gomes, Rose Smith and Bambi Northwood-Blyth, menswear ambassador Jason Dundas, model twins Zac and Jordan Stenmark and Jack Vanderhart.
The event showcased David Jones’ Australian designer portfolio, including: Alex Perry, Akira, Alice McCall, Bassike, Bianca Spender, Bec & Bridge, Brent Wilson, Camilla, Camilla and Marc, Calibre, Carla Zampatti, Carl Kapp, Collette Dinnigan, Dion Lee, Easton Pearson, Gary Bigeni, Ginger & Smart, Jac+ Jack, Josh Goot, Kirrily Johnston, Lisa Ho, Lover, Romance was Born, Scanlan & Theodore, Thurley, Trelise Cooper (NZ), Willow, Zanerobe and Zimmermann.
New additions to David Jones, Ellery, Rachel Gilbert and Banjo and Matilda also displayed their collections for David Jones, with over 230 looks hitting the runway in total.
