Earlier this week the industry gathered to celebrate emerging designer talent at the 2012 L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2012 (LMFF) National Graduate Showcase, presented by Sportsgirl.
The event, which returns for its fourth year in 2012, was held on Tuesday January 17, at Concrete Blonde in Potts Point, Sydney, and hosted by Sportsgirl chief executive Elle Roseby and LMFF CEO Graeme Lewsey.
Twelve finalists from various fashion design institutes were selected from over 70 entries to showcase their collections at the festival in March, with the majority hailing from Melbourne-based fashion college RMIT.
Guests, including Tony Kendal of News Limited and Ilona Hamer, junior fashion editor at Vogue Australia, dined on a selection of canapes such as sushi and sashimi, soba noodle salad, confit rabbit & mushroom terrine, and chargrilled tiger prawns.
