Earlier this week, the Council for Textile & Fashion Industries of Australia (TFIA) celebrated the launch of its digital project, in partnership with Jane Hayes Consulting.
The TFIA Design Cluster QR Code Window Project, launched on June 12, on 472 Little Lonsdale St Melbourne connecting a selection of its designers to consumers via an interactive window display.
The four local fashion brands involved included Jacki Anderson Bags, Edenborough Evans Jewellery, Sonia Kraan and Livia Arena.
Via individual QR codes to these designers, displayed in the window, audiences will be able to connect through to a designer’s website and online shopping pages.
This will allow the Cluster to gather valuable information/ feedback on how their consumers are engaging with them and what methods of promotion work best for their particular brands.
The QR Window Project is first of a number of initiatives being proposed by the Cluster that address the need for businesses to move with the changing attitudes and trends in retailing – both traditional and digital.
