International fashion etailer Stylebop has plans to grow its local market share with a string of marketing campaigns.
The German-based company, which services 120 countries globally, recently launched its first targeted promotion for Australian customers.
The campaign offered free shipping during the spring racing season in September.
Stylebop GmbH owner Mario Eimuth said free shipping periods will launch ahead of a more aggressive push into the market.
“Australia is a highly interesting market and is growing particularly fast for Stylebop.com,” he told ragtrader.com.au.
“We launched in April 2013 and have seen great success with the marketing mix that we are applying, so our intention is to continue and build on this.
"We have noticed that Australian customers in particular appreciate free shipping, so by introducing our free shipping periods we can test whether or not it has a positive impact on our revenue.
“We want to gain a higher market share in Australia and already see customers responding very well to the product and experience that we deliver.”
Advertising campaigns, as well as marketing activations in line with consumer and industry events, will roll out next year to mark Stylebop's 10th anniversary.
“We plan to increase our presence in the Australian market by improving our marketing activity and extending our product range,” Eimuth said.
“[Currently] we are conducting marketing on all of our online channels, SEO, PPC, affiliate and display.”
Stylebop was founded in April 2004 and currently houses approximately 200 designer collections and 15,000 products across the categories of menswear, womenswear, shoes, accessories, beauty and jewellery.
The site attracts approximately 2.5 million unique visitors per month.
Stylebop added Dion Lee, sass & bide and Camilla to its portfolio after a trip to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in April.
Eimuth confirmed the Stylebop team will return next year with a “similar Australia-specific budget”.
