Australian online eco-fashion retailer James&Co has appointed an advisory board.
Diane Shelton, Diane Landau and Sebastian Robertson have been announced as non-executive directors effective immediately.
The board will counsel the strategic direction of the business, drive its operational framework and implement governance mechanisms to boost its growth in the international market.
As chair, Shelton's role will aim to provide guidance on customer-first marketing strategy as well as consumer research and innovation.
Landau will be responsible for business development, operations and strategy, while Robertson will have a strong focus on implementing a sustainable business model to the company.
James&Co currently specialises in producing faux leather apparel and accessories and believes that appointing an advisory board will help strengthen the brand's core vision.
“The expertise that each board member brings will be essential in meeting all James&Co goals, especially our sustainable and ethical standards.
“In common with the B Corp agenda we aim to demonstrate that business can be used as a force for good and we aim to do this through cementing our position as a company that offers products that are sustainable, animal-free, and donates a percentage of its revenues to community benefit.”
James&Co is a partner of social enterprise Batyr and reportedly donates 2 per cent of its sales to mental health initiatives for young people.
More recently the company has expanded to the international market in the UK and US.
