Australian premium marketplace Dotshop has secured its first brand partnership ahead of a public launch, signing authenticated vintage curator Reallist Vintage as it moves to build out its archival fashion category.
The deal will see Reallist operate a curated, rotating edit on Dotshop as a branded destination, with exclusive inventory refreshed on an ongoing basis. It is the first in a planned series of partnerships the platform intends to use as its core commercial strategy — positioning itself as a curated multi-brand destination rather than an aggregation-led marketplace.
The partnership goes live on May 3.
Reallist Vintage carries inventory across major luxury houses, including Versace, Gucci, Dior, Galliano-era Dior and Tom Ford-era Gucci. Key pieces in the launch edit include an S/S 1997 Ralph Lauren runway halter maxi dress worn by Claudia Schiffer, an NWT F/W 2004 Versace by Donatella studded runway dress, and two F/W 2002 Yves Saint Laurent by Tom Ford runway pieces.
Dotshop founder and CEO Lisa Ruffle said the partnership reflected a shift in how Australian consumers approach fashion retail.
"The Australian market has matured,” Ruffle said. “Customers expect a point of view that reflects how they really shop, not an overwhelming catalogue of everything. Our partnership with Reallist is a statement of intent: Dotshop is building the most considered edit of archival and contemporary fashion globally."
Head of brand partnerships Jana Hofheimer Daniel added that Reallist was selected for the strength of both its assortment and its authentication process. "Their curation is exceptional and their authentication process is among the strongest in the category," she said.
The move targets a gap at the premium end of the Australian resale market. Authenticated archival and vintage is among the fastest-growing categories in global luxury resale, and with Dotshop reporting that speciality vintage has been one of its strongest-performing categories to date.
