Celebrity stylist Donny Galella has set up an industry group aimed at giving back to the community.
Dubbed F.A.M.I.L.Y - an abbreviation for 'Fashion And Media Industry Love You' - the initiative will debut with a fundraising event next month.
A number of sponsors and event partners have enlisted for the red carpet gala, staged at Dolton House Pyrmont on June 21.
All money raised on the evening will assist charities including The McGrath Foundation and R U Ok?
Galella said the charities were selected on personal and industry grounds.
"My older sister Maria Iannuzzi was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2018.
"My dream is for her to attend this red carpet event, exactly one year on from her diagnosis and be healthy and cancer free.
"We have lost many fashion and media industry peers to suicide, including the divine Charlotte Dawson and more recently Annalise Braakensiek.
"We need to support each other, not compete with each other and stop comparing ourselves on social media.
"There are so many dangers associated with this and we need to talk about this openly and the depression it causes."
