Australian fashion brand Dissh has appointed US-based music industry executive Jessica Staats to be its new chief marketing officer.

Staats confirmed the news in a LinkedIn post, with her profile stating she will oversee her role in Los Angeles, California.

“As I step into this next chapter, I’m excited to bring my passion for storytelling, culture, and brand building into the world of fashion,” Staats shared.

“Dissh is a brand with such a distinct point of view, and I couldn’t be more excited to work alongside the incredible [creative director] Lucy Henry-Hicks and the wider team to help shape the brand’s next chapter and continued expansion into the US.”

Dissh currently operates one store in the US, in Los Angeles, alongside 13 stores across Australia. The brand was founded in 2001 by Marie Henry, Lucy’s mother.

In recent years, Dissh underwent a brand upgrade, with its recent growth powered by Australian businessman Brett Blundy, who took out a sizeable stake in the business in 2024. This includes the push into the US market with the LA store in early 2025.

Staats joins the brand following a two-year role at Interscope Records, where she was the VP of international digital strategy. She also held director roles at Capitol Records and Universal Music.
