Iconic Australian designer Collette Dinnigan is on the move.
Dinnigan, who is known for being the only Australian to show at Paris Fashion Week, has confirmed she will now present her first ever runway show in Asia.
Following the success of her Paris show in March 2013, Dinnigan will unveil her collections via a stand-alone show at the Audi Singapore Fashion Festival tonight – May 16 at 6:30pm – at the Marina Promenade in Singapore city.
The event is expected to be one of the designer's biggest shows Dinnigan has ever presented since she first started her label, with over 1000 guests (confirmed). The guest list will include international media, Singapore media, and media from other Asian regions, along with key buyers, VIP clients in Singapore, A-list and Westpac Singapore's top 100 private wealth clients.
Dinnigan has traditionally had a very large following and interest in Asia and in Singapore and, to date, the first and only Australian designer to be invited to show at the Audi Singapore Fashion Festival.
Other International designers who will be showing in their own show include: U.S label Carolina Herrera, Peter Pilotto from the UK, and international UK label Hussein Chalayan.
The move will also see Dinnigan join fellow fashion design elite including Missoni, Roberto Cavalli, Antonio Berrardi, Zac Posen, Erdem, Giles, Ungaro, Mugler who have previously been selected to show at the prestigious event.
The Audi Singapore Fashion Festival show also comes at a time when the Collette Dinnigan label is rapidly growing in Asia and with the backing of Westpac.
