The philanthropic arm of Australian fashion brand Decjuba has officially reached its target of positively impacting 25 million lives by 2025.
Launched in 2021 by the brand’s owner and chair Tania Austin, the Decjuba Foundation has since contributed over $15 million to causes aligned with its purpose, working alongside 36 charity partners, including The Hunger Project, the National Gallery of Victoria and Smiling Mind. These partnerships are underpinned by five core pillars: Empowerment, Experience, Education, Essentials and Emergency Relief.
Austin said this milestone shows what’s possible when you have a clear goal and the right people around you.
“From long-time partners like The Hunger Project to newer ones who share our values, we’ve worked together to create impact,” Austin said. “We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, and this milestone belongs to every one of our partners.”
Austin also chairs the fundraising committee for Smiling Mind’s School Program, part of Australia’s leading children’s mental fitness charity. Through her support and Decjuba Foundation’s $3.6 million multi-year partnership, funding is helping to scale a program already delivered in 20 per cent of primary schools across Australia.
“Our partnership with Decjuba Foundation shows the incredible impact possible when people and purpose align,” Smiling Mind CEO Sarah La Roche said.
“As one of the country’s leading business minds, Tania brings a distinctive approach to philanthropic investment – both refreshing and invaluable to her charitable partners. Ours is a partnership grounded in shared values and long-term vision, and we couldn’t be prouder to be part of this milestone.”
Tania also recently joined the board of the NGV Foundation, following Decjuba Foundation’s role as a leading funder of the NGV’s 2024 acquisition of Narcissus Garden by Yayoi Kusama. The Foundation will also support the upcoming 2026 Triennial.
“This is just the beginning,” Austin said. “We’re here to lead meaningful change and to prove that with the right team, the right vision, and the right partners, ambitious goals aren’t impossible … they’re absolutely achievable.”
