Australian fashion retailer Decjuba has become the official partner of the 2025 Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer (CB4BC), a fundraising charity launched by media personality Carrie Bickmore.
The brain cancer research charity was founded by Bickmore in 2015 and has since raised over $24 million over the last ten years.
In 2021, CB4BC founded The Brain Cancer Centre, established in partnership with the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research.
To mark the 10 year milestone and help raise funds, Decjuba create a four-piece collection for CB4BC, including three beanies and a cap, designed for women, men and children. All proceeds from the range will go to CB4BC to directly support vital research around brain cancer and offer hope to those dealing with the disease.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer in their tenth year,” Decjuba owner and chair Tania Austin said. “This partnership gives us a chance to bring our community together and support a cause that needs greater awareness and funding.”
According to CB4BC, Brain cancer remains one of the most challenging and underfunded diseases in Australia. Despite its devastating impact, treatment options are limited, with survival rates remaining virtually unchanged for over three decades.
Every five hours, an Australian is diagnosed with brain cancer, with 80 per cent of patients diagnosed not surviving beyond five years.
While there is currently no cure, increased funding and awareness have the potential to change the future for those affected by brain cancer according to CB4BC.
“Thanks to continued research and the incredible generosity of our supporters, we truly believe in a future where brain cancer will be a treatable and survivable disease.” CB4BC founder and chair Carrie Bickmore OAM said. “I want to see a day where no family has to lose someone they love to brain cancer.
“Every beanie sold not only supports critical research but also sends a powerful message of hope to those facing the toughest time in their lives. We’re proud to partner with Decjuba, their support brings our 10 year milestone to life in such a meaningful way. Together we will make a difference.”
The Decjuba range will be available to purchase online from May 20, and will be stocked in all Decjuba stores nationwide from May 21.
