British department store Debenhams will open its first Australian store in St Collins Lane, Melbourne.
It follows a franchise partnership struck last year between domestic retailer Harris Scarfe under its parent company Pepkor that will see the roll out of multiple Debenhams stores across Australia.
Harris Scarfe CEO Graham Dean will make the official announcement of its Debenhams' debut store opening including artist's impressions of the new store as well as construction dates and activity.
The company has previously revealed plans to introduce the department store into the market with a phased entry approach, targeting locations such as Eastlands, Shellharbour and Epping.
Debenhams currently holds a top three market position for menswear and womenswear in the UK and a top ten share in childrenswear.
It operates across 27 countries.
