Gary Bigeni is at the heart of a fundraising bid by loved ones.
In a 'You Caring' fundraiser page, friends of the celebrated designer revealed he was diagnosed with stage 4 Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in September of last year.
While the designer privately battles the cancer, he has continued to work at full capacity on his namesake label.
"The cancer hasn't reduced, heartbreakingly it has increased and spread," the page reads.
"Gary’s doctor’s have stressed he begin a second, more aggressive round of chemotherapy and undergo a bone marrow transplant.
"At this point, it is very important that he be able to focus solely on his health. He will need to stop working indefinitely dependant upon his treatment and outcome.
"Gary is more than determined to “kill this f***er!” and we want to do as much as we possibly can to help him recover and continue to love us, make us laugh like crazy and bring beauty to this world.
"In order to ease Gary’s mind during this time, our hope is to raise at least $40,000 which will assist with rent, necessities and medical expenses throughout the period that Gary will be unable to work."
