Country Road edged out David Jones for first half sales, recording an increase of 13.4% during the six month period.
South African parent company Woolworths has revealed the financial results in a trading update to the market.
The 26-week period does not include January clearance sales, which are expected to shoot up revenue figures.
David Jones still lifted its first half sales by 11.2% for the period, including concession sales.
Sales in comparable stores grew by 9.7% and net retail space grew by 1.5%.
Country Road Group sales in Australia and New Zealand increased by 13.4% in Australian dollar terms.
Sales in comparable stores grew by 0.1% and net retail space grew by 16.4%, 14.6% of which was space reallocated from other brands in David Jones.
